No Yinka Dare

Well, Roy Hibbert did what I asked. He wasn't a Trevor Winter. He played a solid game, showing a jumper and some moves. He'll get drafted high and be a good NBA player. Which leads me to Yinka Dare...at least he was drafted high. Jeff Green? I hope he stays another year with Hibbert and learns how to dominate a game when needed...

So here I am, sitting in front of the computer. It's been a Saturday with a few big events. Summary: church membership class all morning. Ate lunch and napped nearly the entire afternoon. No kidding. Watched basketball all evening. Very relaxing, yes, but somehow I don't feel like I accomplished much.

Good news, Sarah and I are tie in our brackets heading into the final game. Which means that for once, the number of points you get for picking the tournament winner is a moot point. It could be 1 or 32 points...if Florida wins, I win. If Ohio State win, Sarah wins. As a Florida State fan, I hate rooting for Florida. I'm still not, but I just can't see anyone beating them.

OK, my busy day has worn me out. Time for bed...

How does a southwestern Minnnesota boy become a Florida State fan? What is the world coming too...

Florida State? I looked at all the teams and schools in the NCAA, and found that Florida State, particularly the football team, had the morals and attitudes most closely related to me. Or, you can just point to an impressionable youngster...Pete got me into them.

Dude. I almost believed that whole speel about FSU.
Then I thought, "Poor kid; following older brother..."
But if one had to pick between Nebraska, Florida State and Miami...well, I think you have chosen wisely, James!!

On a side note, what are you doing up at 5:12 a.m. and posting on your blog? Crazy newlyweds...

Oh, don't go there on the name changing. I am a fan of keeping "Seminoles." And the "why not the Gophers?" I am a fair weather fan. I used to like them more, but two words...Trevor Winter.

And just so you all know, the times are weird on here. I am posting this at 11:10 AM Eastern. It'll probably say something four or five hours off...

3 hours off if you ask me.
And Trevor Winters is not considered a 2 word phrase, because as far as I know, I don't know anyone that didn't at least add one adjective or sentence to that phrase!
And I think whoever THOSE people are did try and get the Seminole stuff taken out for a more 'appropriate' name...the tribe itself fought for them to keep it!!
