Embrace and Be Aggressive
"The industry's greatest challenge is to be creative and take risks. I'm encouraging everybody to go on the offense. Don't play defense with new technology. Embrace what's out there, use these new technologies where it makes sense, and be aggressive."
—Joel Hollander
CEO, Infinity Broadcasting
This quote is from the world of radio broadcasting, but just imagine for a second this thought in a generic context. (pause for a second.) OK, now back to radio. No, I take that back...re-read that quote from a generic point of view.
God didn't put us on this earth to simply hang out and putz around. Didn't He want us to subdue the earth? I think He did. He gave us each unique and special abilities, and He wants us to use them to the fullest of our abilities all for His glory. To me that means being at the forefront of understanding, developing, and the use of technology, philosophy, embryo transfer, curriculum, art, radio programming, sanitation, sticky labels, and even window cleaning supplies. Some of what is developed isn't worth using and some is, but the point is that Christians should be at the forefront of these things. Christians should be up at the front lines, using their gifts for God's glory.
