Don't Have To Live Like A Refugee

On a similar note, a new guy just started at our radio station. His home is currently in water (and oil) down in the New Orleans area. But he has always wanted to get into sports talk radio and just couldn't crack the big market in New Orleans. And lo-and-behold, he finds himself working at SuperSport 930 the week after Hurricane Katrina chases him out. You know, the more you dig and the more you see how MANY lives are affected and how MUCH they are affected, it's amazing to know there is a God and He is working things out to accomplish His plans. How truly awesome.

This awesome God you talk about... is he the one that caused Katrina? What is his plan anyway? To kill many people, displace thousands of others, and wreck havoc on business in that area and across the U.S.A.? How do you explain that all, man?
Dear Anonymous,
Thanks for your note. I understand your questions...we are all sinful people and part of that sin is to not trust in God. I doubt Him the same as you. I'm not pretending to actually know or be able to explain God's plans through Katrina. As a sinful human, I will never be able to see God's plans in their whole. I do, however, see His hand at work. But did you know that this awesome God created this whole world and holds it in His hands? And that this awesome God created a sinless man and woman who subsequently sinned and turned their backs on Him? And that this awesome God STILL sent His OWN SON to this sinful world to die and therefore redeem His people to Himself? I find that awesome.
